Al Bundy left this review about Zy Bar

What doesn't look like a promising place turns out to be just that. A large bare floored room is to your left as you enter with the bar to your right. A small room is to the side of the bar. Like a few in Blackburn its all a bit dated and stale. It does however have one handpump with Wychwood Dirty Tackle on. Its not the most salubrious place by any means but it just about passes muster. Maybe.

peter ashworth left this review about The Zybar Hotel

The ZY Bar is a 3 storey red bricked building just slightly out of the town centre. On entry the short bar is to your right with a small room even further right, with in the main central open area a couple of TV screens,a crudely constructed DJ stand and found the chairs and tables a little scarce. They had the standard range of beers and lagers on show plus the Lytham brewery's Epic which was reasonably priced at £2.20 a pint and found it a quite decent drink. There were a couple of old timers in on my lunchtime visit but think the pub is geared up for the younger weekend trade.
Back in the day in the late 60's a group of us would travel the short distance from nearby Accrington to partake in a well known pub crawl around an area known locally as the Barbary Coast, which included around 10 pubs, most of which have since been demolished, and the Dun Horse as it was then called being one of these.I can vividly recall how the lovely ladies of the night used to stand at the bar in such a position as to reveal the the sole of one of there shoes where the price for her favours would be stuck on for the benifit of would be punters.
