Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Abbey Hotel
Motel-style hotel and events venue located fairly close to the shoreline between Minster and Sheerness. Features a reasonable large bar, albeit with a small counter, plus a rear dining room of a similar size. Basic semi-modern furniture and plain decoration in both parts. No real ale, so I opted for the bottled Shepherd Neame Master Brew (£3.80) in preference to the Caffreys which was the only keg beer I might have considered.

The inside is described by Steve, below. From the outside, the front looks bland and uninviting, while there is a large lawned garden with a pergola behind the building. There are also a couple of benches by the main door used mainly by smokers. The inside has an odd, indistinguishable smell about it, not pleasant, just a bit disturbing. A couple of locals use the bar, but otherwise it’s mainly blue collar business trade. There is no real ale on offer, and despite the presence of Courage Light in bottles, no megakeg bitter to make a light-and-bitter. Doombar and Spitfire were available in bottles, so we settled for these. As indicated below, it’s not somewhere I’d make a habit of visiting

The Abbey Hotel is a decent sized square single room open plan pub with a restaurant called the Clocktower in a separate room at the rear. The bar is located on the rear wall where standard draught and Tribute can be purchased. There is a pool table and a Premier League football match was being shown on a plasma screen via Sky Sports during my visit on Monday evening last week.
I found the service to be very friendly and if I lived around the corner I would visit here to watch the football, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for another visit.
