Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Woodman

An unusual building, with a curious decorated single-storey extension across part of the frontage. Slightly more basic inside than I was expecting, given its location in an upmarket commuter village, but retaining a split-level twin bar layout. Fairly plainly furnished. The two real ales - Harvey's (£4.20) and Tribute - available from the three handpumps were the same as on my previous visit four years ago.

Malden man left this review about The Woodman

An attractive exterior with a number of well tended hanging baskets, the pub was also welcoming inside with friendly down to earth service. The front room with the bar is carpeted and has regular farmhouse style seating, green wainscoted lower walls, exposed brick fireplace, décor is made up of a few framed prints. There is a small side area off this room up a step. A few narrow steps to the right of the bar lead to a larger rear area where there is a pool table and a dartboard as well as a TV which had a sports programme on. The TVs in the bar were off. A door leads to an outdoor patio which extends along the side of the pub.
Three handpumps offered Pride, Tribute and Harvey's Best (£3.60). Food served, laminated menus on the tables and also listed on a board, steak, ale and mushroom pudding with mash and veg £9.95, sandwiches at £4.75.
I liked it here, definitely a proper pub, serving all types of customers and friendly with it.
