Pretty Brakspear pub off the beaten track between Charvil and Hurst. Located by a ford, this is a really good little place for a beer in the summer as it has a nice garden which catches the sunshine all day. Usually has two or three Marstons-list ales on in good shape (Brakspear Bitter is a regular) and the staff seem to know what they're doing. Child-friendly and does food; it can get busy on Sundays. Worth seeking out - best approached from Charvil to avoid the ford!
