Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Amherst Inn
Great to see the former Crown Point open again. Situated in a quiet loop that was once the main road before the A25 was straightened out on the other side of the premises. With very few neighbours, this has been a family dining pub for as long as I can remember, and that certainly remains the case today. That said, the staple-shaped layout is large enough to accommodate a sizeable general seating area opposite the elongated bar counter, and there is a narrow sun-trap patio seating area along the frontage. It was also a pleasant to find three different Harvey's beers - Sussex, Porter (£4.50) and the coronation special Carolean Crown - on the bank of four handpumps, with a reversed Young's Ordinary clip on the other.
