A nicely-unmodernised pub on the Maidstone Road which sadly seems to be in something of a decline. The exterior has some nice tiling at the front and a splendid hoist at the back. Inside is a variety of slightly shabby furniture, arranged either side of the central bar. At the rear are the remains of a dead beer garden, plus an equally moribund car park which seemed filled with local residents' cars. Only GK IPA on handpump at time of visit, despite the presence of some teasing pump clips over the bar. The landlord was friendly enough but was apparently having some problems keeping the beer in the warm weather, which proved to be undrinkable, and he happily replaced it with a bottle of Doom Bar from the fridge! We might have been unlucky on our visit but it was rather disappointing on the whole, and it could certainly be a very good pub with a bit more effort.

The Granville Arms is a nice looking pub that is a shortish walk from the middle of Rochester.
Once inside i had a drink in a in a comfortable room which had a the bar facing,the room is carpeted,the seating normal tables and chairs.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Doom Bar which was a decent enough drink,the other beers were London Pride and GK IPA.
There was some decent background music playing,the pub was fairly busy on my late Saturday afternoon visit.
I quite liked this pub,one i could stay in for a few.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Granville Arms
Community local with some attractive old Meux tiling on the façade. Inside, the 'U'-shaped interior has a mix of furniture and generally light decor (quite plain on the left-hand side but some interesting nautical pictures on the other. Three real ales on handpump: the regular Greene King IPA and London Pride plus Shepherd Neame Amber (£3.40) as a guest. Worth the walk up from the tourist area if you have a little time to spare.
