We visited this great pub, by accident and what a surprise - the food was amazing and the beer battered cod could not have been fresher - it was brought in whilst we were ordering. They have guest ales from small brewers, bands on Saturdays and it is right on the beach. What a little gem!

As the new owners of The Seahorse Pub,
Myself and my wife Sheena would like to invite any Pubs Galore members to our establishment, maybe try our Guest Ales we have 4 cask ales, 3 are guest Ale every week now and not just London Pride. Children and dogs are welcome, as long as they are behaved. We do not have a dog on the premises, but please ask before you walk into the building, dogs are welcome in the garden throughout the year! maybe after your long walk on the beach which is directly at the rear!
Kitesurfers are very welcome along with Bikers (Danny is a Kawasaki rider, but don't let that put you off!)
We have a full menu running including fresh local fish (Dungeness can't be much more local can it?) and our meat is again supplied by local butchers in Lydd. Sunday roasts are a favourite and please check out the specials board.
We have entertainment throughout the week with live bands on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and for the younger members (and i mean over 21) we have a disco on fridays.
So please feel free to pop in say hi, enjoy our beer, atmosphere, food and banter.
ohh and i have put 10/10 because it is my pub, but we certainly welcome any other reviews good or bad!!

Cheers
Danny & Sheena

The Seahorse is a pleasant seaside pub with two bars, the one at the rear having a good view out across the Channel. The bar walls have an unusual clinker style of cladding, while the floors are a mixture of carpets and tiles. Despite its location, it caters mainly for locals - there are unobtrusive gaming machines, low lighting and a tv showing the major channels. All this, combined with welcoming attitude from the barman, the pub dog and the locals, make it feel very homely. Only one ale on, London Pride, which was in decent condition but not very special. The best of Greatstone's pubs and worth dropping in if passing.
