Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Fountain
Pub at the eastern end of the Royal Military Canal and quite close to the sea, but neither are obvious if you approach from any other direction. Looks better since a spruce-up a few years ago, and the refurbished, slightly split-level interior appears well maintained. Also has a patio beer garden at the back. Sadly, neither of the beers from the pair on handpumps was great - something unspecified from White Rat must have been shaken up when it was put on earlier in the day because it was still full of suspended yeast, and the Purity Pure Gold (£4.50) must have been from the end of the barrel (but perhaps I was unlucky?).
