On the path outside of the Coco Lounge was an A board advertising the boxing match that was to be shown later in the evening of the recent Friday I visited. The plasma screen was being used to show muted golf via Sky Sports and the jukebox was blasting out the likes of Fleetwood Mac. This went down a treat with the boisterous crowd that has gathered around the bar and a few of the older patrons were showing off their air guitar skills. At the rear is a pool table and standard draught products are available from the bar found on the left hand wall. I found the décor to be basic and the black and white checked lino floor did little to add any character to the place. I wondered why it was so busy in here until I ordered a pint of Fosters which was 50p cheaper than the Wetherspoons up the road. I found the service to be very friendly, but I was a little wary of the locals who seemed a little volatile. Thankfully my worries were misplaced as they were all harmless enough.
I’ll not be rushing back here, but I would consider a revisit if I was passing and wanted to catch the end of a match.
