This is the other JD in Dartford. I don't know which one is worse but again there was a poor offer of guest beers and no real cider. Dartford will not be a future venue for me.

Visit 08/08/2014
Unlike my first visit this place shone today. There were one or two Available soon but the Welton's Horsham Pale was a refreshing thirst quencher, the Westerham Tripel Jump a decent Belgian style wheat beer and the House beer Kent Boss' brew was a first class strong golden beer. Score increased to 8.

The address for this place is a bit misleading as one would assume it to be in the pedestrianised High Street but just when you think you've missed it, it appears on a corner opposite the end of the said area.
It's light and airy inside and there are nine handpumps. I have to say, I completely missed seeing the dartboard in here.
There were three Locale beers on, two from WJ King (Horsham? Locale????) and one from a Kent brewer which I didn't manage to note down. There were no "uninvited" guests.
I had a pint of WJ King's Mallard which was OK, but had a slight haze, a bit disappointing for a GBG listed pub. It was £2.30, a good price for someone as tight as a duck's .., sorry, let's not go there.

Not a bad version of the brand in my experience, the place actually feels like a pub rather than some conversion, even though it apparently is of a former bank. The central bar, leading to areas either side is not the standard 'spoons formula, and I really can't recall the last time I saw a dartboard in a JDW. A corner site, the large arched windows with blue coloured inserts let in plenty of natural light, again not the general JDW standard. Saturday afternoon had a sort of mini Christmas Ales festival on the go, four themed guests, the beer was decent if a bit cold. A word of advice, it is one hell of a long climb up to the toilets, overall not a bad spot though.
