Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Golden Lion
Proper village pub, somewhat hidden away in what is now a dead-end lane well back from the main A291, with a friendly welcome. Retains a twin-bar layout; the first one extended into an opened-out room with the main entrance, and a larger lounge / dining room at the back. The look is traditional but fairly plain, but there are plenty of B&W local history photographs to look at. Also has a rear beer garden. As a Shepherd Neame house, Master Brew and Whitstable Bay Pale (£4.50) were available from a pair of handpumps on each counter. NB - Closes between 15:00 and 18:00, except on Sunday.
