A little pub right out in deepest darkest West Berks and seemingly serving a dozen houses and a phone box. Limited opening hours as a consequence. L-shaped interior with burgundy walls, wood burning stove and various bits of agricultural ephemera - quite homely I thought though tatty fake table flowers should have been binned a few years back. Unusable dart board. Inevitably the place is mainly set for dining. Some of us ate and the food was fairly basic pub grub, nothing to shake your world but decent enough. Two ales; Morland Original and West Berks Mr Chubbs which was in decent nick. 6.5
