Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Charles Dickens
Prominent seafront Thorley Taverns pub and upstairs Copperfields restaurant, both overlooking Viking Bay with its compact harbour at one end and the Millennium Cliff Lift at the other. Modernised, partly split-level, interior with plenty of window space and light decor, plus some tables out front on the pavement. Five real ales on handpump: Greene King IPA, Doom Bar and Coaster from Sharp's, Adnams Broadside and (thankfully) the local Gadd's Seasider (£3.75).

Located up on the Parade overlooking the bay, this Thorley Taverns pub has a surprisingly bright and modern interior with lots of light wood and many windows taking advantage of the view. The main downstairs room is split into separate areas while upstairs are further restaurant rooms. Draught ales included one from Gadds. More of a pub for tourists and diners than a local's pub, but not unpleasant.
