Steve of N21 left this review about The Crown Inn

Grade I listed 15th century building which houses an Inn and attached B&B accommodation situated on the main crossroads in Sarre.
Internally it has a certain old world charm being a collection of different rooms dotted about the central serving area.
The main bar room itself is quite small with room for only one large table on the back wall, but then there is a separate snug room to the left of the bar on the way to the toilets and a larger room through a door to the right of the bar with a wooden floor , wooden seating and a large fireplace which does have a side of the servery but with no taps so the first time you have to go to the main bar room to see what was on. And then at the back of all these is a room labelled as the restaurant which wasn’t in use for my Monday lunchtime visit. Plenty of framed pictures of local and brewing interest throughout give the rooms some character.
Three Shep beers on in the shape of Bishops Finger, Masterbrew and Whitstable Bay. My pint of Masterbrew was a bit tired and the barrel was probably past its best , but this was a lunch stop for us and it was more than made up by the excellent sandwiches and hospitable service levels from the pub landlord who we established was called Clive due to everyone else who was dining on this lunchtime being on first name terms.
Like the pub itself the food menu is old school traditional home cooked pub fare with some excellent home made puddings and apparently Clive’s Spotted Dick is legendary in these parts.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Crown Inn

Historic coaching inn, with a distinctive appearance due to the name, etc. being painted on the plain white exterior rather than having a pub sign (although there is one at the back) or embossed lettering. Fairly traditional interior, as you would expect, with three Shepherd Neame ales on offer.
