A nice village pub with a fair food trade but retaining traditional pub aspects. It is housed in a long cottage with newer extensions to the rear. The bar in the centre has a couple of good fireplaces, one sadly sealed off, and there is a games room to one side with pool and darts and a larger dining room to the other. Live music and quiz nights feature. Ales were Butcombe Gold and Original, Abbot and a house brew from Yates. A bit off the beaten track but none the worse for that.
