after reading this review it greatly upsets me.
i along with my family own and run the peartree pub. we went out of our way to do as much as possible for the function that was booked on the friday before the sunday of the function at 10:30 at night. the function room is a function room and this is what it used for. we did every thing asked of on that day. they even was trying to get out of paying as my mother had to ask them all day for the money for the room and they kept skirting around the subject.
we have worked very hard in the year that we have been hear to turn the pub around including redecroating the hole pub. employing a full time chef and launching a brand new menu.
so we do not apreacate people writing bad reviews on casese that are not true. we always do our upmost for every person that walks threw our doors. the people in question were rude and vulgar and our customers even asked us who the people where as they were treating my mother with such disrespect.
please if some one has a disagrement with us over any thing then speaking to us in person and sorting it out there and then and not writing it on the internet and trying to damage the reputatuion of a pub that we are trying very hard to make a sucsess of.

Used the function room at this pub this weekend for my sons christening.Poor communication from the management team, however, the general staff were very helpful. If pubs want to have specific rooms for hire they should make sure they communicate all the relevant information prior to the event and not leave out and change information as they go along. Would not reccommend this venue to anyone and would not use again.
