The pub underwent a refurbishment between the two lockdowns and is now quite a smart modern food led pub. The layout is still the same as the description below with a main bar area with comfortable seating and enough room for vertical drinking up the bar, and then a dining area to the side and back of the bar which stretches down to a large glass conservatory. And then beyond that is a nice open garden area for when the weather allows.
Three hand pumps on the bar but only two in operation with McMullens IPA and Amber Bay from their Rivertown offshoot and the later was a decent pint.
Food was decent also, so if you are after a meal then this pub hits the mark. But if it’s just a beer you are after then you will not be going past the Land of Liberty which is just down the road.

After plenty of visits to the Land of Liberty and seeing this pub from the far end of the road, I decided to give it a quick visit to say I'd done it. Basically, it's a foody pub serving two ales (McMullens and guest) - my McMullens was fine. There's a pretty beer garden and a conservatory area to throw into to the mixer.
