A very attractive pub from the outside and the garden seating is a real sun-trap. Inside is large and modernized (tasteful enough, though the twigs in baskets made me shudder), aimed at dining but also welcoming for the drinker. Various areas have been retained so you get a decent choice of seating to suit your mood. Doom Bar and Old Rosie cider on pump with three contraptions containing Rebellion brewery flavours (not real ale, but these usually dispense a decent drop). Went for the proper stuff (which regrettably was the Doom Bar but you can’t have it all) which in fairness came out pretty well and fair play to them for at least trying to get decent local beer on even if the stuff itself is CAMRA-bothering. Decent enough.
