The first thing that I noticed as I walked into this L-shaped local's pub was the smell of stale beer. Overcoming this I walked to the bar and was greeted by the landlord who seemed friendly enough, although the drinks selection of standard draught and Greene King IPA was hardly imaginative.

Sky Sports is shown and there is a plasma screen and a tiny TV which the decent crowd of locals were glued to.

A first for me in this pub was discovering that the only trap in the gent's toilet is in fact a disabled toilet with a baby changing facility – Don't tell the wife!

The large beer garden was pleasant enough and it had some children's toys, although it is next to a noisy main road.

The Guinness was good and I would pop back in here again if passing.
