Primarily a gastro pub,but you walk into a small bar area from the front door ,and it is quite possible to just drink here although seating will be limited to a drinking shelf and bar stools dotted about. There is only one handpump ,which serves a regular Brakspear Bitter,in OK condition on my trip. There are two main dining areas,a large square room through an arch to the left and behind the bar,and a more atmospheric section straight ahead of the bar with a long bench and several two and four seater tables.French windows in this section lead to a beer garden,a dining or drinking option in good weather.Besides a single real ale, there is a decent wine list ,some keg beers and a selections of gins.
The menu is short but contains both pub grub style dishes (around £13)besides restaurant quality mains generally closer or above £20.I couldn't fault the quality and it's not outrageously expensive for the area.I would return for the food as this is not a formulaic chain but an owner operated enterprise, but as a pub it's quite limited.

Keith Blaxill left this review about The Inn On The Green
What's inn a name? This was The Inn OFF The Green with quite a good reputation as a real ale pub. But after changing hands, sometimes quite rapidly, too many times it is The Tilbury. Hardly a pub at all, more a trendy eatery, staff and furnishings all very smart and modern, and a menu to attract ladies who lunch. Nothing wrong with that, the area may need one. It also needs a decent independant pub please. It does still serve a reasonable pint so give it a star.
