Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Royal Oak Hotel
A fine-looking old coaching inn, with the main bar and side dining room having received an unexpectedly light refurbishment at some stage. Given the size of the place, there must be other unused ground-floor rooms plus plenty of accommodation for the new owners to make a go of (having had this place for just five weeks before the Covid-19 lockdown...). They certainly have plans to do something about the beer, with the single handpump currently disused, and even the John Smith's off! I made do with a bottled Marston's EPA (just £2.00), but I wish them well because this place could be really something once again.
