Moby Duck left this review about The Kings Arms
A two roomed pub, the lounge basically set for dining though there seemed no problem should you want to drink only,I opted to move through to the other bar which was more pubby with a mix of seating options, there is a pool table a jukebox and a couple of TV screens ,showing muted cricket on my visit. Six hand pumps in all, three in each bar mirroring each others selection, in this case a rather uninspiring choice of Doom Bar ,Pride and Wells Jolly Mr Fezziwig. Nothing special.

Changes here since OB’s review below, recently refurbished by the looks of it. Two bars, restaurant to right with more of a drinking area to the left (accessible via a rear corridor) and a beer garden with a kids play area. Dining emphasis made overt by the “are you eating with us, sir” enquiry from the barmaid. Two pumps, just Doom Bar on (forgettable). We took refuge in the drinking area which was a fairly long and narrow area done in red, cream and duck egg colours with a tartan carpet. Tour de France showing on the telly and a pool table to the rear. Despite the dining aspect being pushed, I noted that a vacated food table remained resolutely uncleared and strewn with debris for the duration of our stay. In contrast, the bogs were spotless.

Old Boots left this review about The Kings Arms
A basic drinking den in the classic style of basic drinking pubs beloved of forty year old working men everywhere, quite a few of those in here plus a few young lads learning the old ways. Pool table, darts, lots of lager and only Abbott as a cask offering. Two bars, the front being the classic public and beyond a possibly more comfortable lounge judging by the occasional bit of an much older pub peaking through the modern tat. Quite a jolly place but not to everyone’s taste.
