Newly refurbed as a Bar-BarBQ , it majors on food here but drinkers are welcome , food seems to be American / Mexican style burgers and grills with pretty large portions .
The main entrance takes you into the bar area , off to the right is the main dining area which is divided into a couple of different sections , the main bar area is small but leads around to another section .
Plenty of keg taps and a decent selection of craft beers in cans/bottles , 3 handpulls with 2 beers from Beartown and the other Salopian .
The young uniformed staff were pleasant and chatty .

A decent pub and one of two next to each other. Clean and friendly, this is a multi-roomed pub with 6 handpumps on the bar. The real ale available is a bit pedestrian with only 4 on being Tim Taylor Landlord, London Pride, Doom Bore and Bombardier on today. I don't recall seeing a telly so for those who have an aversion to that kind of thing then this is for you.

Malden man left this review about The Anchor Inn

A nice looking white painted cottage style pub situated down a narrow side street, two rooms inside split around the bar with another side room seemingly being a dedicated dining area. Boarded flooring, beamed ceiling with hops running along the timbers. B&W photos, a dresser contains a range of small plates, old glass bottles and a nice model of the Titanic, a large framed indenture hangs above a fireplace. There is a dartboard but it is thoughtlessly situated right by the connecting open doorway between rooms looking like an accident waiting to happen.
A nice pub in a good looking building, the atmosphere was reassuringly pubby too but the place is let down by an unexciting and pedestrian selection of beers, Pride, Doom Bar, Pedigree and Abbot. One was unclipped and a solitary cider was Old Rosie. A bit of thought behind the beer choice would make this place somewhere to head for, with a range like that however I'd pass by next time.
