A community local, very much a Pompey supporters' pub with the interior decorated accordingly. The pub is architecturally interesting but looks as though one side has been converted to residential use at some point. The single large remaining bar extends off through a games area, where are no fewer than three dartboards, to a big garden beyond. The only draught ale available at time of visit was TT Landlord but it was in good condition. Apparently others do appear. A good solid pub, with a convenient bus stop right outside.

A large good looking building, inside a large L shaped room with laminate flooring leads round to a rear area with a pool table, there also a dartboard , jukebox and TV on the walls, other than that I found the pub to be rather characterless much as I did the sole cask ale on despite the six handpumps, the beer was Marstons Serving Time, there was a turned London Pride clip leaving four vacant handles. All in all rather disappointing.

An impressive Edwardian townhouse with a good sized garden at the back and a paved area at the front which tends to be used as a car park and smoking terrace. Inside are two large bars, though the one at the back was closed when we visited. The front bar has a pool table, tv screens showing football, gaming machines and a dartboard, all squeezed into the conjoined rooms which comprise the bar and to some extent ruin the original building's character. The young female bar staff were very helpful, while some of the locals were a bit weird. There is a jukebox which was playing fairly acceptable music, and the atmosphere was agreeable. Six handpumps on the bar, with 3 ales on – Ubu Purity, Longham's xXx Dark Mild and something called Overhang which wasn't to my taste but seemed to be in good condition. Worth including in a crawl.
