A massive Lees roadhouse, very close to Mills Hill station. There's a huge beer garden to the left of the pub and almost all the seats were taken early on a sunny Friday evening. As you enter there is a very large room to the left which seems to be mainly dining and was doing a roaring trade on my visit. To the right is a smaller room which was populated by the local drinkers and the cricket was being shown on a big screen. I tried to get a drink of the current Lees seasonal, but it went off as the barmaid started to pull my beer, so I ended up with Lees MPA, which was in good nick. It's a large pleasant pub, but who knows what it's like on a wet Monday in February.

I was here on a Sunday evening, early August, mainly for a meal with friends & family. The pub has been described by BF so I will only say we found the beer, food and service excellent. The Landlord / manager was friendly and often asked if everything was OK [we were party of 9], all staff, whilst young, were on the ball and very attentive.

This pub is not understaffed, which means no long waits for service

Beer was excellent, food was same

I doubt I will ever return, I was only there for a wedding in the area, but if it was local I would certainly go back

I could not fault this pub

A large and tidy Lees tied house, standing above the Rochdale Canal ,and the last recognised safe mooring before central Manchester,so you will get boaters and walkers in here besides locals. There is a pleasant beer garden overlooking the canal, while to the left of the entrance down a step is a lounge mainly for diners with more window views of boating activity. The tap room has a large range at the rear and is smartly upholstered while there is a back room with it's own bar access with a flatscreen and a real fire. The 5 handpumps were drawing Lees Dark,Bitter,Manchester Bitter,Brazilian Bitter and Golden Pedler. If you like Lees beers ,you will be happy with the selection on offer,I find their output indifferent so for me this will be no more that a place for a quick one to slake the thirst.Food is a large feature here but we didn't eat.
