Located opposite The Crown on Lechlade's High Street, the premises was operating as an Italian restaurant called L'Artigiano at its time of closure, retaining its 'Arkells Ales' sign on the front of the building.

The Red Lion is a decent looking pub that is on the main road through Lechlade.
This pub is an Arkells tied house and there was one main drinking room this was quite a comfortable room to have a drink in and there was also a seperate dining room.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Arkells 3B and this wa a very nice drink the other beer was Kingsdown Ale.
I thought this was a decent enough pub to have a few drinks in.
