Pub is as described by Soupy. The seascape mural on the wall is I believe what the art world called naive. I would call it "painted by a 6 year old". During our visit there were a few sweary blokes in high viz jackets in the pool room, there was no-one in the restaurant area as it was a bit early. I had a pint of the Malt & Hops which was fair. I didn't really warm to this pub and the other half hated it. I suspect we'll never call again.

This is a croner pub and restaurant, with patio area. The pub, once called the British Flag, is certainly Victorian, but maybe older, as it has a Georgian style. It consists of a two, two storey sections, the front one larger than the rear. Fairly plain, it is in cream, with light blue paintwork. It retains a corner entrance, pilastered, with keystones above the windows on the front part. The interior is a U-shaped room, split between a bar and restaurant areas. The restaurant is in blue, white and wood, with carpet floor and white ceiling. There are bistro style pictures, with a sea mural on the walls. They specialise in sea food and we did eat here - it was very good. The bar is in white and wood, with settles and wood seating. There were photos and prints on the walls. It has a dart board, which seemes impossible to play due to seating being in the way, and pool table - i didn't notice a TV. The service was friendly and a few locals were in. Beer; usual tap stuff, with Corvus stout. On handpull there were Wadsworth 6X and Malt & Hops (which was fine) - a third's clip was turned around. A solid performer, worth docking for one.

A U shaped pub cum restaurant beside the old docks. The front part is divided by glass doors into a bar with tables and a public bar with a pool table and at the back a darts board. To the rear through a wrought iron divider is a more dining oriented space, place place settings at each tables and even napkins in glasses at some. Seven hand pumps between the two bars, with a small range of reasonably kept Wadworth's beers; Swordfish, Malt & Hops, and Bishops Tipple on this occasion, there should be 6X of course but it wasn’t on. A handy pitstop for those visiting the Heritage site that Gloucester Docks have become, the beer’s not bad and it sells food – specialising in seafood.
