I have visited this pub on quite a few occasions since my review in 2011. As it has been well over a decade since my last review, it seems fitting that I review it again. I've removed my rose tinted specs this time! The Ridge is primarily a sports pub, with dining facilities. If you like your food washed down with wall to wall sport, then this is the pub for you. On my visit, the pub was populated with, how shall we say, "earthy local types", who made use of the sporting facilities. There is not much to entice any ale lovers, Doom Bar was the only one available, the other pump clip was turned round. Maybe I am doing the pub a disservice, the staff were friendly enough. I can't think of any real reason, why anyone would want to come here, except if you are a nostalgic former local like myself!

The Ridge is a large estate pub in Wyman's Brook. I used to live in this area, so I'm a little bias when writing a review. The pub has improved quite considerably since it was The Haymaker. It is quite spacious inside, with comfortable modern furnishings. Sports fans are catered for with a dart board and pool table.There is a lovely view of Wyman's Brook if you sit in the recent extension at the front of the pub. Or you can sit outside on the patio, and watch the world go by. Best of all, it is very near Cheltenham Racecourse - ideal for race goers! There is a car park, at the back of the row of shops near by.
