Philip Gaskin left this review about The Two Brewers
I have visited this pub occasionally for about forty years, and had not been to it for a while. Since my last visit it has been refurbished to an upmarket standard. The drinks selection projects the same image. There were four real ales available, but the only one I recognised was Adnams Lighthouse. None of the standard session lagers were available, only continental ones, and the chilled bottled selection was the same. It is more like a town centre bistro or wine bar, than a pub on the edge of the countryside. The barmaid of one of my local pubs had visited it the previous evening, and described it as 'poncy'. I did not purchase anything, so I cannot comment on the prices, but I would imagine they are not aimed at the Wetherspoons end of the market. If you like that sort of thing it is a good place to go, but it is not somewhere I enjoyed and I do not plan to return.
