There has been a substatial internal refurb.leaving a modern feel to the L shaped interior. The shorter leg is popular with regulars, often vertical, and has two sports flatscreens, potentially showing different games but with the sound turned down. The longer leg has two section split by a two sided fire above which is another flatscreen while in the back section there is space for a darts board (not hung up on my trip) and another flatscreen.Seating here consists of mainly bench seating, and there is a light pine flooring throughout.
There is a suntrap outside part covered courtyard with yet another flat screen. At least the volume was way down but replaced by mindless muzak. All the internal windows are covered in slatted blinds which are so unauthentic they grate and leave the interior darker than it needs to be and somewhat souless.
It's in the GBG with 5 handpumps offering on my trip GK IPA,St Austell Proper Job,Sharps Atlantic (NBSS 3) London Pride and a TT Landlord Clip reversed. Not the most adventurous line up but some care is taken with conditioning. An option if crawling the area, and a good option to watch televised sport.
