A genuine boozer, handy for the station, noted for its live music and other entertainments. One large bar, with a small outdoor area mainly for smokers at the rear and separate function room. Despite Cask Marque listing, the first beer sampled was poor, however it was changed without quibble (and taken off sale).

A back handed compliment maybe. but this is a scruffy pub the toilets leave a lot to be desired - but it's good for a pint of Guinness, you can play pool or darts, sit around and chat over a drink or move to the the room next door 'Seaxe' as it's known for music music, music and of course the comedy nights. Brentwood is short of good venues, keep it going and try the music nights or have a laugh, the lanlords print a monthly schedule of bookings.
