Komakino . left this review about The Bell Inn

Slightly more upmarket than the nearby Red Lion with an attractive whitewashed facade and out-front seating with requisite gravel. This is separated into two rooms, with a choice of 'Cellar Bar' (the door to the right) or 'Study Bar' to the left. Finding the room to the right empty, save for several tables and chairs set for dining I entered into the dimly-lit left-hand bar. This has a small bar to the right (GK IPA, Sharp's Doom Bar and Tring Drop Bar - the latter good to see, in good form, but steep at £2.00 for a half). Bare-boarded, save for a small flagstoned bar apron, this had limited drinking area in front of the bar, the upholstered bar seats being chunky enough to make at-the-bar drinking seem claustrophobic. The main part of the room, semi-partitioned from the bar is primarily used for dining. There's a patio-style area out back hemmed in by raffia-style fencing. The only surprise was three TV screens tubes into a Monday night Premier League match which detracted from the ambience somewhat.
