Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Engineer
Dock-area pub, but none the worse for that, especially as it was doing surprisingly good business early on a Thursday evening. Opened-out at some stage to leave a L-shaped layout, with both parts having been given a basic refurbishment so it doesn't look run down. Just Harvey's (£3.80) available from a multiplicity of handpumps on different parts of the counter, but this was thankfully in good condition.

Strongers . left this review about The Engineer
The Engineer was dead when I visited on Tuesday evening a couple of weeks ago; in fact I was the only customer. The interior is L shaped with a pool table and dartboard to the right of the entrance. The bar runs up the left had wall and in amongst the standard draught are six hand pumps, five of which were unused leaving harvey’s Best as the lone ale option. At the front of the bar area is a stage area with another dartboard and some speakers that I imagine are used when there is an event on. I didn’t see any entertainment advertised, but I think that this pub has a couple of dart teams that play in the Super League. Above a quiz machine on the far wall at the end of the bar is a plasma screen and I got the impression that Sky Sports is shown when a match is on.
There is a covered smoking area advertised and there is a large open space at the rear with children’s climbing apparatus, but I’m not sure if this is anything to do with the pub as it did look a little run down.
This isn’t a pub I would make a special trip to revisit.
