Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Windsor Tavern

Basic sports pub, with a 'L'-shaped bar and another room beyond. Football on several screens - with volume turned right up - plus various trophies and other memorabilia (with photographs of the annual trip to Goodwood races prominently displayed). Two handpumps, offering Harveys (£3.20) and what a handwritten note stated to be 'Adnams Best Better' when I visited a couple of months ago.

The Windsor, I can only agree with the review left by Steve C. But would add that I can confirm that if you request a sport and it is available it will be shown, music is still played even when sport is on, unless the sports being requested exceed the speaker channels available. I had not been into this establishment for an exceedingly long time, but was made welcome and greeted as if it had been yesterday, it was an early close to opening time visit, but time and attention was paid, ( I have noticed in other establishments that this can be a time when owners / managers can be catching up on various items, not here ) will definitely return. cheers!!

The Windsor Tavern is primarily a sports pub and the sports of the day are advertised on the A board outside. These range from football to rugby and boxing to speedway (Eastbourne Eagles), but I think that any sport will be shown if someone asks for it to be put on. The pub is L shaped with seating at the front along with a plasma screen on either side wall and to the right rear there is a dartboard, pool table and another plasma screen. On my first visit back in 2008 the walls were plastered with old football sweeps that the pub had hosted, but now the walls are mostly adorned with pictures of locals at various events. There are also lots of jokes on the walls, most of which are football terrace humour. The bar is stocked with standard draught products and the two hand pumps were both drawing Bombardier, although one of these was off. The food menu stretches to fresh rolls that can be purchased from the barman for a couple of quid. Music is often playing, but it is turned of as soon as any sport is shown.

There are some picnic tables outside the front of the pub and some more covered seating can be found at the rear where there is another plasma screen. Beyond here is a large beer garden with a raised decked area in the centre of it. There is a pub cat and some birds can always be heard chirping away in the aviary towards the rear of the garden.

This pub has grown on me in the past few months as the governor is very friendly and popular and there is usually a good atmosphere. This is a welcoming local pub and I will surely return many times again.
