The White Hart on the Green is a large sprawling Stonegate pub with a U-shaped bar counter to the left that faces bar seating to the rear and a large open plan dining area that runs along the front of the pub to the right. The bar supports premium keg alongside Carling and I counted at least ten hand pumps around the bar that were drawing Harvey’s Best, Rocking Rudolph, Sharp’s Doom Bar and Lilley’s Mango Cider. The pub was empty apart from a handful of locals who were sat in the rear bar area. There was some background music playing and during my recent Thursday afternoon visit all of the tables were reserved for 19:00 so maybe there is a weekly quiz. The service was polite, but this place is a bit too anonymous and food orientated for my liking so I wouldn’t go just for a beer again.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Hart on the Green
Large and anonymously refurbished Stonegate pub / restaurant at the end of the green. Various seating / dining areas in an overall L shape plus a fair-sized beer garden. Greene King IPA, Doom Bar and Harvey's (£4.45) available from the various handpumps. PS - Visit not appreciated by over-zealous application of coronavirus restrictions that went well beyond the latest government guidelines.
