A bit rough round the edges but does the job and wets the whistle. Standard Draught selection. The pub has a dartboard.

The Bat and Ball is a small single room pub that is popular with the old boys who I’d imagine have sunk a few beers between them in their time. The two plasma screens were both off during my visit early on Monday afternoon, but it feels like a pub that would have horse racing even though I saw no advertisements for any sport. I found the guy behind the bar to be slightly rude and my wife thought him quite menacing, but the woman on duty was nice enough. There is a standard draught selection and only one of the three hand pumps had a clip on it which was Directors, but this was off leaving no ale. There is a dartboard at the back of the pub and some pop music was playing in the background. The advertised quiz takes place at 20:30 every Thursday evening.
I wasn’t very impressed with this pub and I do not plan to return.
