This is a family friendly pub but it suffers for it with lots of kids roaming between the tables.Food on the night was a disaster and although they offered a free drink we had had enough of this place.Superb Jaipur

Like the other Weymouth JDW it looks unpromising from outside but is OK and rather bigger than expected inside. As noted below, it's a split level with a long narrow area on the seafront side of it and a wider and larger area up some steps. The fixtures and fittings are all fairly standard. It was fairly busy on a winter Saturday afternoon.
The bar has ten hand pumps which had the JDW Trio Of Doom doubled up, Brewster's Decadence, Summerskill's Devon Dew, Grainstore 1050 and Great Newsome Frothingham Best. I went for the 1050 (£2.85) which was in good nick.
I thought both Weymouth Spoons were OK, although a bit on the expensive side.

A large 'spoons on two levels which makes it necessary to inspect both ranks of handpumps ,5 on the lower and 5 on the upper,to make your ale choice. The upper section is the larger ,with ranks of traditional tables pretty much full on a Thursday lunchtime visit, while the lower section is calmer with views out of the large plate glass windows. The usual suspects appear on both levels (Abbott,Doom Bar ,Ruddles Best) which left guest ale comprising Piddle Coal Porter (acceptable),Otter Ale,Dorset Brewing Tom Brown's,Shepherd Neame Spitfire and Bishops Finger. Not an exceptional guest list, but I enjoyed the friendly service ,there is enough here to warrant a crawl visit.
