Well introduced by Chris, below, this fine house, now a Wadworth pub with B&B, has a car park at the side and a small garden at the front. There is a terrace adjacent to the house with large umbrellas, primarily used by smokers. Inside, the rooms have been opened out to form a large bar on one side and a restaurant on the other. The decor has been recently renovated and it feels pleasant and homely. The restaurant and bar both offer a simple English menu with good value home-made puddings, plus regular steak nights. The wine list is rather dull and over-priced, but the beer is good - 6X, Henry's IPA and St George & The Dragon plus a guest, Shefford's Dunstable Giant, all in good condition. The staff were pleasant enough, though not very engaging, and they looked tired. The other customers were mainly middle aged diners, plus one or two families with well behaved children. Worth spending time in for a good-value meal and a few beers, I'd be happy to B&B here, but not really a pub for a crawl.

A delightful Edwardian residence, in a quiet residential area, run as a pub for many years, together with an excellent restaraunt, open lunch times and evenings. Superb, and affordable bar meals, compliment the homely, local feel. Can get very busy during summer months, being so close to the beach, and a local hang out for office staff out for a quick break.
