An agreeable town local which does decent food and beer. It’s by the main road through town, and it has a car park and a pleasant beer garden. Inside, there are three main bar areas: two squarish dining areas and a long, somewhat artificially narrow saloon with tables, chairs and a brick fireplace containing a woodburner. The locals and staff were all very friendly, and the food looked like reasonable value for money. Ales on were 2 from Wriggle Valley – Coppa Hoppa and Dorset Pilgrim, plus Yeovil Ruby. The beers were in very good condition, and I’d be happy to come back for more.

A seemingly very foodie Hall & Woodhouse pub. Large car park leads to main entrance at the side of the pub, tables on the right set for dining and to the left the pub area. I didn't stay as I'd missed the weekday 2pm finish on serving lunch and I had to find something to eat. Apparently they do serve food all day on Sundays though.
