This pub has now been closed since January 2012. Ther owner has placed it on the open market for sale for development. A new house has also been built in the pub car park

Wow!what a difference has been made to this small country drinking pub since last year. Having been refurbished it is now light, bright and welcoming with new bar and fittings. The main down side is the lack of a kitchen so the only food available is crisps and nuts etc.
The 3 real ales available are all from local micro breweries within a 30 mile radius. These incluse Buntingford, Whittlebury Farm, Potton Brewery and Banks and Taylor. They are all sold at a very reasonable £2.75 a pint as are the ales and lagers etc from the pumps.

The new landlady is very friendly and welcomes newcomers in as if she had known them for years and she makes everybody including the locals wanting to return.

They have live bands and music nearly every weekend a well as , disco's, karaoke, quiz nights, buffet nights and many other exciting activities. There is a board on the wall by the door listing all forcoming events as well as flyers available to take away that list the next months activities. The open fire will be a great asset in the cold months while you sup your drink as well as play one of the many games freely available on every table such as, chess, drafts, bagatel, cards, dominos and backgammon.

There is a dartboard, games machine, fruit machine and juke box that has an impressive array of the most modern and older discs available.

The building is old and this does show in some areas but it is exceptionally clean and well kept with litle details such as free to use items available in the toilets such as wipes, handcream, tissues, hairspray and perfume etc. Even the gents has some body sprays to be used.

Well worth a visit for just a quick drink or worthy of making it a regular haunt.
