In an old bank building the interior is pretty spectacular with the ceiling plasterwork being outstanding and there’s some decent stone work, detailing and panelling. Inside is a tasteful reworking of the bank, retaining the safe or strong room which you can sit inside. Largely a brasserie, it has candles and condiments on each table, I had no trouble just having a drink, many drinkers had chosen to sit outside. The neat marble topped counter has a large pipe horseshoe with mid market kegs and there are two hand pumps, one on serving an acceptable Landlord the other blank. Nice but dull.
