E TA left this review about The Stour Inn

The Stour is a very comfortable country-style pub just the other side of the eponymous river, which gives it a rural setting just a few yards from the town centre. It's currently the Hall and Woodhouse brewery tap, being a stone's throw from the brewery. Two conjoined bars in an L shape with flagstone floors and fake beams give it a warm, homely feel, dogs are welcome and the locals and staff very friendly. The clientele is a mix of visitors and locals. Three ales on draft, all H&W as you might expect. I had a pint of Pickled Partridge which was perfect - not surprising as it had only travelled about 200 yards since it was brewed. The food was also good, although a little pricey. Highly recommended for an evening's relaxation or inclusion on a town crawl.
