Formerly a Gibbs Mew house called The White Hart, The Dolphin is now leased by Piddle Brewery and is their brewery tap. The building was rebuilt on the site of an earlier pub, destroyed by fire in the 1790s, and is one house in a town centre terrace. It was recently renovated and has almost a cafe/bistro feel to it, enhanced by a slightly irritating smell of incense. The staff are professional and friendly, teh food is very good and the beer is, as you would expect in a brewery tap, first class. I had a pint of Jimmy Riddle, perfectly kept but not to my taste. Much more enjoyable was the Reaper, again in perfect condition. Well worth a visit for a beer at any time, and a good place to eat, especailly in one of their curry nights. An essential part of a town crawl.

Popped in a couple of weeks ago to find a decent small town pub. Very friendly welcome from staff and locals. Didn't try the food but had a couple of pints which were very good and well kept.
