E TA left this review about The Red Lion Hotel

A Victorian town hotel based on a 17th Century coach house, currently owned by Palmers. Most of the original outbuildings now belong to other businesses leaving the core brick building as the pub. There is a single L-shaped bar, one leg of which is the public bar and has a dartboard, a selection of board games, 2 TVs, an annoying jukebox and parquet flooring, while the shorter leg is more of a saloon and has an industrial carpet. The garden is entered through a paved, covered smoking area, and is enclosed by buildings; it has wooden benches and tables, and is mainly lawned. They serve good value pub grub as well as Sunday carveries. Ales on were IPA, Dorset Gold, Tally Ho and Copper, plus First Press cider on draft. The beers were in good condition and enjoyable. A decent place to come for lunch or a few pints.

The Red Lion is a red brick built pub in the middle of Beaminster.
This pub is a Palmers tied house and inside here the pub has one largish room i had a drink of Palmers best bitter which was very nice the other beers on here were Bridport bitter and Dorset Gold.
This was a decent pub to have a drink in.
