Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Clarence

Curious little pub, with even more curious-looking customers. No real ales available, so had to make do with a quick John Smiths Smooth. Not a comfortable place to wander in a have a pint, but unique in my experience in that it has a table tennis table alongside the pool table in the games room.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Clarence (Eurobar)

The Clarence is a drab looking pub that is on a very busy road just off the town centre.
I realised this was a gay pub before i had got into it has there were the usuall rainbow signs in the windows, but as it was a pub i that i had'nt been in before i had to do it.
Once inside there were two rooms and i had a drink in the room at the front which was a fairly smart lounge type room there was also a seperate games room to the rear of the pub.
I was surprised to see to real ales on the bar and i had a drink of Ind Coope Burton bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Tetley bitter.
The pub was fairly quiet as i visited it in the afternoon.
