As described by Graham, below, this wannabe Lounge is tacky, gaudy and devoid of pub atmosphere. There are large TV screens showing live football in the front bar area, naff neon lights above the bar and an industrial coffee machine. Food was ridiculously ‘crafted’ burgers, trendy pizzas with names from nursery school reading books and nonsense dishes such as ‘loaded hash brown waffles with grenola’. The keg range (there was no real ale, of course) was Orchard Pig, Camden Hells, Neck Oil, Old Mout, Corona, Bud Lite, Lucky Saint, Hawkstone lager and Guinness. Cheap and nasty cocktails were also on offer. Awful.

Describing itself as a "social dining room", this is a sort of upmarket version of the Lounges Group place just down the road. Lots of heavy, dark yet colourful decor, various easy chairs round the bar area and laid-back music. Further to the rear is a larger tabled area for eating, with an equally large terrace outside. No cask ale of course but a row of keg taps includes a couple of Camdens, Neck Oil and Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone Lager. OK if you want a posh trendy bar rather than a pub.
