Steve C left this review about R&G's Tap House

R & Gs is one of two bars in this section of the Congleton Market Quarter where restaurants and street food vendors also reside. The bar counter runs along the rear wall and on the back bar are 14 craft keg fonts. I went for the Huyghe Pilsner which was decent enough, not sure I’d order it again though. For those with deep pockets there are more options from cans and bottles that are lined up in a couple of fridges to the left of the counter. Seating wise there are very spaced out high tables in the centre of the room and to the left and right are beer benches. In the left is a raised seating area and beyond is more seating that was lights out during a recent Thursday early evening visit. The service was polite, but it was quiet so no atmosphere was present in a venue with little character. The lack of cask means that I’d probably choose the other bar if I found myself in this market again.
