Funny little place looks quite nice from the outside. Reminded me a bit of the old Lord Beechings in Aberystwyth when I was a student, dark green painted exterior and interior with some American Deep South stylings (though not necessarily carried on beyond superficiality). Two ales, Pride and Hunters Brewery Royal Hunt (so-so) both sparklerised. Some nice brewerania inside including a couple of ‘licensed victualler’ mirrors which caught my eye. Fairly plain bar area with boarded floor and a raised rear. Darts and Sky Sports available. The large outside seating area looks good for summer. Get the feeling they could do more in here if they tried, it wouldn’t be one I’d head back to again currently.

Not a bad pub, far enough away from the main touristy bit of Torquay to escape many of the tourists so quite easy to get a seat even during the summer. Good welcome, friendly atmosphere and efficient staff. Beers are kept OK but were nothing special. Food was reasonbly priced, decent portion sizes and quite tasty although the menu is nothing more than traditional pub grub. Better than average.

Very busy on a recent Saturday evening, so it was difficult to get a feel for what it would be like at any other time. Seemed pleasant enough though, and I can imagine it would be quite a good spot when it was a bit quieter.

Beers on tap were just Tribute and London Pride. Cider's faired slightly better with Strongbow, Addlestones and Stowford Press.

Nice traditional pub close to the harbour. Excellent for sports!
