Blue Scrumpy left this review about Cains Brewery

Not to be confused with the Brewery Tap on the corner (listed on here confusingly as Cains Brewery) and the nextdoor Punch Tarmey's, Cain's Brewery is a massive new space opened up within the Cains Brewery Vilage in the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool.

For a more pub-like experience, the original Brewery Tap on the corner is your best bet here. Cains Brewery is further along with Punch Tarmey's in between. These two are interconnected.

Walking in on a Saturday morning, we were greeted by a friendly barman and a couple of Cains real ales - Cains FA & Fine Raisin Beer. The barman was dreading the arrival of an anticipated throng of Liverpool fans to watch their match on one of the many TV screens. But none had turned up so far.

The bar has a bit of a warehouse-like feel. An upper floor can be accessed from a large metal staircase. Once upstairs, you realise how big the place is, with a similar sized room to what is downstairs, along with a couple of smaller adjoining rooms. There is also another large bar in the main room. Toilets were rather plush.

I'm glad I visited here when it was quiet (we were the only customers). I imagine it could be a horrific place to drink when extremely busy. I was also pleased to have finally sampled the Raisin beer, which was rather enjoyable.

However, for a more comfortable experience, the Brewery Tap is a better bet.
