I was the only customer in Suburban Green during a recent Monday evening visit, so had to wait a minute for the barman to turn up from doing chores, but he was very friendly when he arrived. This is a café bar with high tables against the front floor to ceiling windows and a mix of standard and high tables up the right-hand side. The stool lined serving counter is found to the left of the entrance and more high tables are situated in the left rear. The six fonts across the back bar were drawing Victoria Malaga, Birra Moretti, Bootleg Brewing’s Bootleg IPA, Beartown’s Inception, Guinness and Thatcher’s Gold Cider. I went for half the IPA which tasted like a citrusy Carling Premier. This isn’t my sort of place, but fans of inclusive café bars will love it.
